What to Bring

Items you may need while in Bohol include a passport, driver’s license, visa, and/or other travel documents.

Know Your Visa Requirements

To visit Bohol, you must first obtain a visa from the Philippine Embassy or Consulate where you will be staying (usually a process that takes about four to six weeks). If everything else checks out and the embassy is happy with your application, they will issue a boarding pass and visa for you. However, some visitors do not receive visas until after they’ve completed their tourist attractions in the Philippines and/or received their money back from the tour operator(s). Be sure to check with the embassy or consulate in advance of your journey.

Know The Local Currency

Bohol is a predominantly Filipino town so most things are priced in Philippine Pesos rather than American dollars or other currencies which can add up over time when paying by credit card or online checkout. So always convert any prices before leaving home!

Transportation

Book your transportation early, whether it’s a flight or ferry, and keep an eye on travel schedules as they may change due to weather conditions or other factors. If you are looking to rent a car in Bohol, contact us.

Environmental and Tourist Fees

Some attractions in Bohol might charge environmental fees or require tickets purchased in advance. Check if these can be paid online or need to be settled upon arrival.

Guidelines for Specific Activities

If you’re planning to dive, visit heritage sites, or take part in other activities, there might be separate guidelines or additional permits required.
